James Espinoza brings over 30 years of research, investigative, and leadership experience, specializing in surveillance, fraud, workers' compensation, and criminal investigations. His diverse background in the military, private business, nonprofit work, and law enforcement—backed by 20 years of law enforcement investigative experience—provides a unique perspective and skill set for any investigation.

A U.S. Army veteran and retired law enforcement supervisor with a combined 26 years of service, James has conducted hundreds, if not thousands, of investigations in multiple investigative assignments, including violent crimes/homicide detective, background investigations, major fraud investigator & unit supervisor, government corruption, environmental and consumer fraud, child custody, and courtroom testimony as a gang expert.

Trained through local, state, and federal channels, James brings a wealth of experience, with hundreds of hours of specialized training and decades of hands-on practice.

James has exceptional interview and speaking skills, developed through thousands of interviews on the streets, as a multi-discipline instructor, public speaker, Crisis Intervention Team member, Special Response Team member, and SWAT crisis negotiator.

With a Master’s in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego and numerous professional certifications, James combines expertise, integrity, confidentiality, creativity, and dedication in every case.
